Thank you for supporting the Chagossians. Mauritius’s claim to Chagos is a formal fallacy. It fails to account for the principle that administration does not equate to ownership. Instead, administrators act in the interests of the owning power (Britain). Its argument assumes that administrative control automatically transforms into territorial sovereignty post-independence, which is inconsistent with established legal principles.
