Gaza Actions

Below is a (live) partial list of actions I have taken as an MP since the last General Election to try to secure a lasting peace in Gaza. Most of the correspondence is available on social media or in the press, with all formal motions available on Parliament’s website.

In addition to the actions below, I have regularly raised issues directly face-to-face with Hamish Falcolner, the Foreign Office minister with responsibility for the Middle East.

* July 24 – Met with the new Minister for the Middle East for the first time during his first week in the role to push for action on Palestine
* July 24 – In my first contact with the whips office I made it clear I would be voting for Zarah Sultana’s proposed amendment on Gaza to the King’s Speech, which was ultimately not selected for debate by the Speaker
