My name’s Peter Lamb and I’m asking for your support to build a better future for Crawley.
Crawley is my home. It’s where I was born, where I went to school, and where I’ve served the community for the last 16 years.
As Leader of Crawley Borough Council, I oversaw council house building on a scale not seen in decades, secured major investment in the town to provide residents with better job opportunities, produced balanced budgets without service cuts every year other than the pandemic, delivered major improvements to the town’s infrastructure, and produced the town’s first ever Climate Emergency Action Plan.
I’ve worked hard for Crawley because I want the best for our town. Yet, under the Conservatives, Crawley has the lowest social mobility in the region and well over a third of children are living in poverty, existing jobs are at severe risk of automation and have poorer working conditions than those we have lost over the decades, far too many people are trapped in overpriced rented housing and cannot make ends meet, we need to reach Net Zero but we need to do it without mass-redundancies at Gatwick Airport, and both our public services and privatised infrastructure are falling apart.
I believe Crawley deserves better. That’s why I’m running in this election. That’s why I need your support.
With best wishes,
