A non-hormonal, non-steroidal oral contraceptive has been available in the Indian market since the 1990s, avoiding many of the side effects of current oral contraceptives in the UK market and the discomfort many women experience with other methods of contraception. I asked the Health Secretary what action he is taking to enable access to this means of contraception for women in the UK.
