The latest figures reveal that over 48,000 patients are now waiting for care in Crawley’s area– with 7m across England are now stuck on NHS waiting lists.
After almost 13 years of Conservative rule, the NHS is on its knees – and people in Crawley are paying the price. Rather than spending their time banning healthcare workers for striking for better resources for the sector, the Government’s time might be better spent devising a plan for addressing the current problems, something former Conservative health ministers have highlighted that they do not currently have.
Labour has a fully funded plan to get our health service going again – by training the doctors and nurses we need to provide the care people in Crawley deserve. Unfortunately, many people cannot afford to wait until the Conservatives are forced to trigger the next General Election. If the Prime Minister lacks the knowledge or ability to fix the problems in the NHS, then he should call a General Election to make way for someone who does.
