Promoting Crawley’s economy

Today, businesses from across the sub-region descended on Crawley for the annual Gatwick Diamond Meet the Buyers event, co-sponsored by Crawley Borough Council.

As a council, we are working to promote economic growth in the area. By helping people to ‘Buy Local’ whether it’s popping into town to use local shops or connecting Gatwick’s procurement teams to Crawley suppliers, we can give a boost to our sub-region’s economy at essentially no additional cost.

We know SMEs can find it difficult to sell to the public sector and large businesses, and that organisations can struggle to find suitable suppliers but through events like these and the close to a thousand introductions they provide, we can help to make those connections and keep Crawley’s economy booming.
